Nippon Bee Chemical Co., Ltd. joined the Japan Responsible Care Council in 1997. We are promoting the voluntary corporate actions, "Responsible Care Activities", to protect the environment. Basing on these activities, we registered to ISO 14001 in 2001, the international standard for environmental management. Now, we are positively making efforts for environmental preservation. As to returnable paint cans discarded at customers, it is used as fuel or concrete curing agent to achieve zero-waste. However, we cannot ignore the problem of solvent scattering into the atmosphere during work. In recognition that it is our top mission, we, NBC, are striving to fulfill "Development of eco-friendly coating technology". The biggest problem of the coating technology is volatile organic compounds (VOC) are generated in the form of vaporization of solvent. As long as this problem remains, we cannot achieve true zero-emission in our plants. We were among the first to tackle solvent-free water paint and developed the world first water based paint system for PP bumpers in 1998. We place the water-based paint technology as Nippon Bee Chemical's No.1 technology. We will continue to promote technological development for the next- generation paint. Now, we, paint industry must look at the environmental burden that the paint industry exerting to the entire globe numerically. Despite these efforts, the first to emerge is the importance of water-based paint and coating without paint. NBC wishes to show its presence as the top plastic coating manufacturer in these efforts for environment at paint industries' level.
